Chess960 tournament is the first Voronezh Festival event for the sixth year in a row. This interesting version of chess game forces players to seek new original moves from the very beginning of a game, because they do not know the initial position in advance.

Not as many players as we expect in the following tournaments, someone prefers classical openings, someone is going to arrive tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. 53 chessplayers from 4 countries (Russia, Belarus, India and Armenia) are participating, 5 GM, 7 IM and 10 FM among them. The tournament distance is very short, only 7 rounds. Who is able to run it without delays? We will know soon.
